Turtles need more filtration than most people expect going in — a filter rated for two to three times your actual tank volume is a reasonable starting point. Get that right first and the rest of the setup becomes a lot easier to manage.
I built these guides because aquatic turtle care involves more equipment decisions than most new owners expect, and finding straightforward comparisons is harder than it should be.
