For each guide I look at build quality and durability, sizing and fit for the specific pet or tank, ease of cleaning and long-term maintenance, setup requirements, manufacturer instructions and owner-reported limitations, and whether it actually solves the problem the buyer has. For aquarium and turtle guides that also includes filtration capacity, heating stability, the manufacturer's UVB specifications and placement instructions, and compatibility with different tank sizes.
